CARING FOR YOUR OLYMPUS WATCH

WATCH CASE

Your watch will require very little day-to-day care. We recommend that you occasionally clean the case with a microfiber cloth to preserve its luster. Occasionally, you can wash the watch case using a diluted soapy water solution and a soft brush. Use a microfiber cloth to gently pat the case day and set aside until fully dry.

Before cleaning your watch, remove the leather straps and always ensure that the crown is screwed down properly against the case to guarantee waterproofness.

*Do not leave anywhere subjected to high variations in temperature, direct sunlight, humidity, or strong magnetic fields

If the watch is worn often, we recommend that you wipe down the watch case once a week and thoroughly clean the watch case once a month.

If you are in a hot or humid climate, cleaning may be needed more frequently.

Leather conditioner is meant for occasional use; check the conditioner package for more details.

LEATHER STRAPS

Our watch straps are crafted with the finest Italian leather. Leather is a unique material that requires special care for cleaning it.

Leather can be sensitive to liquids and can absorb sweat and dirt that comes with regular wear. The material is also sensitive to other elements, such as water, direct sunlight, and heat, which can cause cracking.

We put together a simple 3-step process to preserve the integrity of the straps.

If the watch is worn often, we recommend that you clean the leather strap once every two weeks and wipe down with a microfiber cloth as needed.

If you are in a hot or humid climate, cleaning may be needed more frequently.

Leather conditioner is meant for occasional use; check the conditioner package for more details.

REMOVE THE STRAP
FROM THE WATCH

"You will need to remove the watch strap from the watch face in order to protect the watch case and dial from the cleaning process.

Use a microfiber cloth to wipe away any debris on both sides of the watch strap.

This gently removes anything that can potentially scratch the surface of the leather.

CLEANING & DRYING
THE WATCH STRAP

The next step is to clean the watch straps thoroughly by using a gentle soap, as harsher soaps may cause the leather to dry out.

Use a separate damp microfiber cloth with a pea-sized amount of soap and gently rub the inside and outside of the strap in small circular motions.

To remove the soap residue, lightly wipe the leather strap with a clean microfiber cloth.

After the strap is cleaned, allow the strap to air dry.

*Do not put the strap in direct sunlight or use a hairdryer to dry as this will cause damage to the leather straps*

USE A LEATHER CONDITIONER

After your leather strap has dried, apply a few drops of your favorite jewerly/watch leather cleaner to a dry microfiber cloth and gently rub into the watch straps.

This will create a protective layer from dirt, sunlight, and water.

After the straps are completely dried, reattach the watch straps and your watch is ready to wear.

OUR STORY

Olympus Watch Co. is a Houston-based brand founded in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Inspired by the unbreakable Houstonian spirit to rebuild from destruction, we created a product that upcycles destroyed vehicles and turns them into a luxury Swiss timepiece.

The Galante Collection is made from a recovered salvaged Lamborghini Gallardo in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. As such, we are donating a percentage of every watch sold in this collection to Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding neighborhoods that have been impacted by natural disasters all over the world.
